Goodbye from DS Woldingham 2016

The children have departed and the staff are packing up the equipment, books and notice boards. This can only mean one thing, we've come to the end of another year at Discovery Summer Woldingham! Thank you to everyone who joined us this year, we hope that you have enjoyed the past four weeks as much as we have. We look forward to seeing many of you next year here, or at another Discovery Centre. For now though, it is goodbye, and to send you all on your way, here is our Woldingham 2016 music video, enjoy!

Day at the Races

Our evening activity tonight was 'Day at the Races' where the Activity Leaders competed in a variety of races, and then the students voted for the AL they thought would win. Here are a few of the races! Who will be the last to smile? Dizzy race: who will be the first to the finish line? How long can AL Pete do a handstand for? A) 19s B) 32s C) 47s

Week 3 Presentations

This afternoon marked the end of another week here at Discovery Summer Woldingham and we had our third set of English Workshop Presentations. 'Volcanoes ' After researching famous volcanoes of the world, the children created papier mache volcanoes and made them erupt using baking powder and vinegar <<< 'The Olympics' The judges decided that The Olympics were this week's best workshop having organised a whole event and a brilliant presentation! >>> 'Photo Story' The children created storyboard and found props as well as writing a script. You can see the finished product here! <<< ......... 'Lost in Time' Our judges were so impressed with all the workshop presentations! Fantastic language input from all groups!
